Arts Council of Wales Fellow for the Clore Leadership Programme
In 2012, I won a Fellowship on the prestigious Clore Leadership Programme, a career development programme for exceptional cultural leaders in the UK.
In 2013, I was seconded to the British Museum in the Directorate offices.. I worked on advocacy for the 2013 Government Spending Review and the first ever live cinema broadcast from the British Museum: Pompeii Live, a live broadcast of the exhibition into cinemas around the UK on 18th June 2013. All of this was based around the flagship exhibition, Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum, which ran from March until September 2013.
The British Museum is an inspirational place to learn about cultural leadership, from the Director Neil MacGregor and Joanna Mackle, Deputy Director.
My mentor was theatre director Michael Grandage.
I was selected to conduct research with support from the AHRC into collaboration. I compared collaborative practice between strategic, systemic and cultural leaders in Sweden, the USA and UK. My original research paper will be published in early 2015.
